how hard could it be....

.....to get one good photo of two trick-or-treaters?

Impossible, if those trick-or-treaters happen to be Evyn & Andrew.  They were just too excited to go!

Maybe it was the snowy weekend, making them crazy. 
I did get one picture of Evyn:

Earlier this month we had professional pictures* taken of the kids with their cousins, to give to grandparents, aunts, and uncles for Christmas. It is (as Paul Harvey would say), the rest of the story, from our post, Snow Firsts.

We got our first snowfall of the season!

On Saturday Dec. 5th we met the C's at Outback for dinner, and
afterward they visited at our house. It was snowing lightly and
Aunt Lori decided that Andrew needed to feel his first snow. Later,
Evyn and Scott went outside (after Evyn's bedtime!) and they made
a pair of snowfolk... Evyn's first real snowman!

Book-ing It to Pizza Hut

Evyn earned a free Pizza Hut pizza in their monthly Book It program (each month, Pizza Hut will give schoolkids a pizza coupon for reading 10 books). The C's caught up with us for pizza, wings, and breadsticks.

Andrew the Bruiser knocked a little girl off her feet. That's right, our 8-month-old took on a 3-year-old, and won!

The little girl had wandered over to get a look at Andrew in his high chair, and he grabbed the hood of her jacket. The little girl turned to walk away, but Andrew is crazy strong, and quicker than we could react, he pulled her backward backward and she fell on her rear.
Poor girl! She was fine, but I felt terrible, even as I tried to hide my laughter.



Yes, they really do get along this well... for now, anyway!

a day at Dutch Wonderland

Tuesday 8/11/09 I took the kids + cousins Emily & Elisabeth to Dutch Wonderland. It was hot - HOT! - but we had a great time. And Andrew barely made a fuss, he was content to tag along in the stroller most of the day.
