first (real) haircut

I've been buzzing Andrew's hair for the last year, but I thought he deserved to finally have an even, proper hair cut, so I took both kids in for a trim.


I realized after I loaded the kids in the car that I had forgotten to take a "before" shot, so this will have to suffice.



Evyn went first, while Andrew spread goldfish cracker crumbs all over the waiting area.



When it was his turn, Andrew was so mesmerized by himself in the big mirror that he hardly noticed the trimmers.

dance recital 2010

Evyn had her big dance recital this past weekend. Her class had two performances- one tap, and one ballet. We're taking a break from dance this summer (she usually goes to dance camp), and will start again in the fall.

whew!

We've had a string of very hot, humid days that kept us indoors most afternoons. We did brave the weather a few times to splash in the kids' pool, run through a sprinkler, and build some sandcastles.
