the sickies

our house is a quarantine zone this weekend. evyn and i managed to catch the cold that scott brought home last week (and we thought we were in the clear!) and our computer picked up the system32.exe virus (from the navteq website!). not at all what i wanted to spend my last few weekend days before baby's arrival dealing with.

evyn & i both have headaches, evyn spent most of today dozing off. poor kid hasn't eaten a single bite of food today - she couldn't even be bribed with chocolate pudding!


i keep telling my slow, pregnant body that i have much to do - no time to be nursing a cold - but it just isn't having any of it.

as for the computer, i can hear the virus churning constantly in the background, it's the most aggrivating, grating noise i can imagine at the moment. it taunts me. i've invested two days working to eradicate it, but i'm not good with registry editing, so i guess i'll have to consult a pc shop tomorrow. we're able to access a few trusted websites while we're infected, but much of our computer is useless until we shake the virus. in the event you don't see an update for a couple days - don't assume it means baby is here! it could just be that our computer is in the shop.
