the home stretch

The construction project & our pregnancy are in a race to the finish!
Saturday Guy (aka Grandpa B.) came over to help Scott paint the new room, garage, and the holes throughout the house with primer.

Evyn 'helped' too, and then took a picture of her "masterpiece."

Grandma B. stopped by too, to help us get some cleaning done. Afterward she & Evyn watched a movie and played a bit.

Evyn's cold got dramatically worse on Sunday. She still isn't eating, is spending all her time in bed dozing off & on, and has quite a bit of chest congestion. Poor kid! This means we are housebound (again), which puts a new wrinkle in our plans to wrap up all the things that need to be done before baby arrives.

I'm 38 weeks pregnant today - officially 2 weeks to go! My belly is so much harder and sore than it ever was during my pregnancy with Evyn. I can't imagine going another two weeks. I am at +19 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight and no longer able to sit or lay comfortably, as the weight of the baby is making it difficult to breathe easily.

Your belly is beautiful :)))) I cannot believe you are in the home stretch. It seems like yesterday that you found out your were pregnant.

I am sorry that Evyn is still not feeling well. I know so many people with bronchitis or pneumonia and it seems to get worse overnight. Hope your little muffin is feeling better soon!

Take care of yourself, Mama...don't overdo!

look at that belly! so pretty :)
Julie- only 2 more weeks? yay!!!!
I had to sleep in the recliner those last few days. If Evyn doesn't improve in the next few days you might have Scott take her in (you stay away from the peds office!) and they can check for RSV or at least get her on some antibiotics so she can get better before you bring baby home. My girls and I were sick for three weeks! and are just getting over that terrible cough.
the room looks great and I know you are ready to get everything put away so you won't have to mess with it once the baby arrives. I can only imagine your poor DH trying to get it done in case the baby comes early...
keep your chin up- not much longer Julie
big hugs
