snow treats

This winter we've gotten snow followed by rain, snow mixed with
freezing rain, dustings of snow, and frequent flurries- in all, it's been
a disappointing year for snow-lovers. But Tuesday night/Wednesday
morning we got what the local news called a "Freak of Nature" - and
some real shovel-worthy snow!

About 3" fell here at our house.... 3 miles north of us they had 10"...... while 5 miles to the west of us there was less than an inch! We considered ourselves lucky, and after a few graham crackers we bundled up to play in it. Evyn's first mission was to find a big chunk of snow to eat.

She was doing belly-flops into the snow, and putting her whole face in it! She'd come up for air - out of breath and giggling.

She made a "snow cream sundae," complete with a snowball "cherry" on top, which she ate with no hands.

Then it was time for snow swimming. She said she had to do a few laps in the snow pool to get some exercize!

Then she decided she was at the beach, building a snow sandcastle.

If only they made snowsuits in maternity sizes! Evyn could have stayed out all afternoon, but I was too cold, so we called it a day.
