to the mountains! part 3
Saturday and Sunday were spent at the cabin- playing baseball, blowing bubbles, catching fireflies, hiking in the forest, and eating watermelon and s'mores. We had a visitor at the campfire:
Late nights turned into late mornings; the kids slept until lunchtime every day!
The kids were sad to leave (but anxious to see Daddy!).

Friday - day three - we went to Knoebel's amusement park, about an hour away. The weather was ridiculously hot and humid, but the kids had a great time. Grandma joined us, too (she arrived at the cabin the night before).

We arrived around 7:30, unpacked the car, and had a LATE dinner, followed by a movie. I think we finally got to bed sometime after midnight.

Thursday - we took a short drive to the beach at a nearby state park. The water in the lake is always ice cold, but it didn't prevent Andrew from hopping right in! He swam for nearly two hour- my little fish!
Later, the kids got a chance to talk to Daddy, and made a "slide" in the side yard:
