climb every... bathroom???

Last week I was intermittently folding laundry, and watching Evyn from our bedroom window as she played in the back yard.

After a while I spied her doing this:

That's right.... she stuck her head IN the wall of snow!
(I uploaded a video of it to my facebook account)

That gave Andrew the time to go exploring.
Remember my post about how he likes to climb?
Well....

Weird kids.

Wonderfully so.

snow aftermath

These pictures were taken more than a week ago.
Several sunny days have melted much of it, but we still have more than a foot of it around our home!

Evyn went out to find our vegetable garden.
There is a fence around it, just in front of where she is standing (you can see a tiny bit of it in the center of the picture).

Then she settled into a lawn chair to watch her Daddy make paths to the shed and the basement door with the snowblower:

Andrew is not a fan of snow. Which is fine by me - one less little person to wriggle in and out of soggy boots and snowsuits. He did enjoy watching Scott & Evyn from the comfort of his high chair:

the second BIG snow

Last week we were hit with the second big snowstorm.

I took this picture from inside our garage door, Evyn was outside clearing the snow from around the door frame:

Check out the birdbath, the snow covered the whole base, up to the bowl:

The girl next door managed to make it over to our yard - remarkably, without snowshoes:

We had a foot + of snow on our COVERED patio:

Superbowl, Valentines and a party

We dug out after the snow (the first of two 2-foot snowstorms) and went to the C's for the Superbowl (have I told you how much I love our Totseat?):

Andrew might look little- in fact, he's still weighing 19# and has been for months- but he has an impressive appetite! He managed to find an avocado, and was sucking the good stuff out from a hole he bit in the bottom.
WOW, was he mad when I took it away from him!

Watching Daddy and Evyn play in the snow:

Evyn made Valentines for the kids in her kindergarten class:

The class had a 100-day party, to celebrate their hundredth day of school.
The kids had been eagerly counting down for weeks!
Evyn came home with a really cute "100" hat she made in school.
