Thanksgiving 2009 - part 2

On Thanksgiving Thursday we went to Grandma & Grandpa B's for lunch. We brought a huge antipasto salad, and a pot of my corn & crab chowder. Grandma & Grandpa served up carrot bisque, homemade applesauce, grilled shrimp, ribs, and even a plate of roast turkey. It wasn't traditional Thanksgiving food, but it was delicious!

Andrew in his Totseat again - love this thing!

Later, we went to Grams & Pops house for a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner with Aunt Chris, and Scott's Uncle Harold and Aunt Bev.

After dinner we played Old Maid, and Evyn set up a food store where she sold play food to the other guests. Those of you who have been to our home already know about her rock sale in our back yard. If you're ever in need of a few decorative rocks, Evyn would be happy to sell one to you!

*As you can see, I changed things around here on our blog. I haven't fixed everything, but I'm working on it.

Andrew survived his first Thanksgiving! Three HUGE meals in 5 days. The first one was at Dave & Sandy's house on Saturday Nov. 21st. After the meal the girls dressed Andrew in a pillbox hat and fuzzy scarf like a baby flapper. He hardly seemed to notice - just went on "reading" his magazine.

On Sunday we burned off some of those pre-Thanksgiving meal calories by doing some yard work:

Then Andrew got another chance to don a hat- and a blanket "cape."

Hats seemed to be the theme of the weekend. After Evyn's bath she was supposed to put on pajamas.... but draped herself in hats (and a candy dish) instead. Goofy kid!
