visiting the fairies
Last week I took the kids to Mount Gretna to visit the fairy garden and grab some ice cream at the Jigger Shop.

Andrew really enjoyed his ice cream - as well as Evyn's; he was too little to have any last summer when we visited!

Evyn's surprise
Evyn is spending the weekend with her cousin Emily, and Grandma and Grandpa B, at the B's cabin in Centre County. While she was gone we put together a little surprise for her:

Her very own fairy garden!
We've been talking about making a fairy garden, and Evyn was full of idea of things we should add to attract fairies to our yard.
It's not finished yet - Scott and Evyn will be painting a welcome sign, and I have a fairy door being shipped to me from a craftsman in Canada, which will go on the tree trunk. But you get the idea. The fairies have a gazing ball, mushrooms, a pet frog, potted oxalis (fingers crossed that it won't seed!), a windchime, a sitting area, and even a working gate on the front.

I hope she likes it!
