in, out, up, down.

UP is better than DOWN. Andrew has entered his "clingy" phase, and does not like me to put him down. He's fine when I'm out of sight.... but if I enter the room, he wants "UP UP UP!"

And of course, IN is much better than out. And Andrew does love to be IN things! No matter how big or small.

Whether it's a plastic basket half his size:


or an empty box rescued by the kids from the garbage:


when he's IN something, he will sit and play quietly for a very long time.



And when he's done being IN,



Big Sister will help him get OUT,



and, sometimes, try it out herself.
