Not, - it was so exciting! - kind of busy.
Not, - very very important work - kind of busy.
Just the normal family busy stuff. Dentist appointments, homework, play dates, hair cuts, boo boos, dance class, car inspections, washing machine shopping, that kind of busy.
Then there are the other things - like nursing issues- that have kept us.... well, if not busy..... at least on our toes.
So forgive me for not posting a proper update, with details, in chronological order.
Andrew can now climb up on all chairs and sofas.
And he can get himself down off our bed, which is impressive as it's a very tall bed.
We're still trying to figure out what to do with his hair.
And by "we," I mean me.
I was sort of hoping Scott would take charge in the haircut department, since he knows a little bit more about male hairstyles than I do. No such luck, though. So when there was nearly an inch over the tops of Andrew's ears, I broke out the trimmers.
Andrew has tolerated past buzz cuts pretty well. Now he's just too fast! I'm working on it a little at a time. I was planning on just trimming around the ears and neck, and leaving the top long.... have I mentioned that Andrew is fast? As I post this, his hair is just a wee bit longer than a complete buzz cut. We'll see how it ultimately turns out. In the meantime, enjoy this "before" shot:
I found him hiding behind the sofa with the phone.
Yes, intentionally hiding.
We are SO in trouble with this child.
Unfortunately there was a BIG bald spot on one side, from
Andrew turning his head abruptly, so I had to trim some more.
Andrew LOVES being outside. But he does NOT like walking barefoot in the grass. He gets it from his father. Evyn and I, on the other hand, are perpetually barefoot from April through October.
