Last week we discovered that Evyn has "
shark teeth." Her permanent teeth are growing in behind her baby teeth, forming a second row. In most cases, baby teeth will fall out normally, though occasionally a dentist will need to intervene if the baby teeth don't loosen up.
On Wednesday we were delighted to find that Evyn has at least two- and possibly three- loose teeth!
The funniest part about this is that Evyn had no idea she had new teeth, or loose teeth, until we told her.

Don't worry! Will has the exact same issue, as did my niece. As with Evyn, Will's permanent tooth had come up significantly prior to the baby tooth coming out. The permanent tooth helps push it forward and it will come out soon. Also, the permanent tooth will move forward once the baby tooth is out(you shouldn't need dental intervention). Will just lost his 2nd 2 nights ago and that permanent tooth had just come up behind it. Also, be prepared for the permanent teeth being quite a bit "less white"...I was shocked at how bright Will's baby teeth were compared to the permanent one.
Thanks Leigh! Now I need to work on my Tooth Fairy 'game' - not at all sure how I am going to sneak in her room, find the tooth, and get back out without getting caught ;)
We've had shark teeth here too. Hopefully you won't have any of the issues we have had with crowding, missing teeth and the like. ;)
As far as the tooth fairy game, we have the kids use a baggy. I think Daniel has a tooth pillow that he made in school. You could probably make a small square pillow with tooth shaped pocket if you wanted.
