are we there yet?

Pregnancy status: 39 weeks 2 days..... 5 days until our due date. We're surprised to still be waiting - but grateful, as we've been able to tick a lot of things off our to-do list in the last few days.

I'm at +19 pounds and still experiencing irregular, mild contractions. I didn't have much of that with Evyn, so this is new (and nerve-wracking) territory for me. Baby made a turn late Monday night, I'm no longer certain what position s/he is in, so keep your fingers crossed that s/he is back to anterior!

Construction status: Final inspection is scheduled for Friday. Siding is halfway installed on the exterior of the room & covered patio. Electrician comes today to finish the recessed lighting in the room and the patio, and install a ceiling fan in the patio ceiling.

Scott was home Tuesday to install the carpeting - looks good! Evyn was his "scrap girl," she loves getting to help us with projects.

We're still trying to figure out where to put all the toys & furniture (wow, did the room fill up FAST) so I'll take one more set of photos when it is completely finished. Hopefully the inspector will be understanding of our time crunch and overlook the fact that we moved things into the room before inspection.

Evyn & I had lunch at Oregon Dairy Tuesday afternoon, likely our last chance to do so for a while! Which was a little sad for me, Evyn and I often had lunch at restaurants, just the two of us, something we've both really enjoyed.

Today I WILL (!!) finish packing my hospital bag. Then maybe we'll make time to get a little rest - I think we could all use a nap day :)

So exciting...both the room and expected baby! Can't wait for either :)))))

And totally take that nap...you know there won't be much time for that soon!

Julie it looks fantastic! I love it and the carpet turned out beautiful too :) I had a hunch baby would be hanging out til the end. Sophia came 2 days before my due date and I was surprised as Isabel was almost 3 weeks early. I went in and was sent home three times with Sophia. My nerves were shot and I hated the OB on call LOL I got her back when I delivered Victoria though :)As fate would have it, she was the OB on call and got splattered ok TMI but oh was justice sweet

I wanted to tell ya real quick that you have inspired ME to do something and it is something I am so looking forward to be able to do with Victoria once Sophia goes to kindy next year and Isabel will be in 4th grade. I am really looking forward to going out for lunch with Victoria every now and then. To the Tea Room in Wake Forest and some Mom and Pop restaurants in downtown Louisburg. All those little posts you would make with the photos of you and Evyn eating out have stuck in the back of my mind and I can't wait to get out and about with Vic to teach her table manners and spend some good mommy time with her.

ok Julie- best of luck to you and I am dying to find out what you are having AND what you name it :)
hugs
Debbie
