spring projects

Spring is always a busy time at our house, with gardens to ready and projects to tackle. This year our to-do list is a little bit longer than most!

Evyn and Scott got off to a good start this weekend - first, painting the garage, which needs to be done so we can bring the Chevelle and everything else home from the storage unit that we rented during construction.





Then they ventured out into the vegetable garden to plant peas and beans.




Andrew and I stayed inside, working on putting together his birth announcement, sending thank-you cards, and planning Evyn's birthday. She'll be 5 years old in just two weeks! I can hardly believe it, my firstborn baby is growing so fast.

Thursday's doctor appointment

Andrew is free of the biliblanket! And no more blood draws. Pediatrician was pleased with his progress, he even had great weight gain - back up to his birth weight at 1 week old. He's pretty much been confined to our bedroom since we came home from the hospital 5 days ago, so we're as excited to have him liberated, as we are with his health improvement :)

The Plastibell hasn't fallen off yet, so we have one more follow-up scheduled for next week, to check out his circumcision.

I failed to mention in the account of Andrew's birth, he was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.

Somehow I have a feeling that this is just the beginning, that he'll be keeping us on our toes for the next 18+ years :)
