Mother's Day 2011

On Sunday we hung out on the Brownstown Main Street overpass (over rt 222) to watch the 22nd Annual Make-a-Wish Mother's Day convoy of 335 trucks and fire engines.  Most trucks blew their horns or sounded their sirens as they passed under the bridge - wow, were they loud!  Our photos aren't the greatest, as my camera died just after the convoy started - but, you get the idea.

Watching them from up above was a real thrill, but next year Evyn wants to go into Lancaster, where they start, and check out the food stands, games, and entertainment.

field trip

Last week all the Brownstown first graders took a field trip to Lake Tobias.  Guess who was lucky enough to be selected as a chaperone?!
