weekend in the mountains- part 2

We spent an afternoon at Fall Brook, checking out the orange newts (or were they salamanders?) and ducking the downpours of rain.

Weekend in the mountains - part 1

Friday after school Chris picked up Scott and Evyn for a trip to the Martins' cabin near Canton PA.  Scott's parents had left earlier and were waiting for them there;  Andrew and I drove up Saturday morning.  In no particular order, some pictures from our trip~

Last day as a Kindergartener

Friday June 11th was Evyn's last day of school.  Where did the year go?  It seems like yesterday I was dropping her off (with the wrong class, no less) for her first day.  It's hard to imagine that next year she'll be in school for a full day...  Andrew and I will miss her like crazy! 

The parents were invited into the classroom for a short presentation - a really cute poem, marigolds that the kids grew for us, and roses from the teacher to the parents.

Summer, summer, here we come!

two parks, one day

Last weekend we spent a breezy afternoon at Overlook Park playground.






Andrew is a natural born climber!




After a quick pit stop at home we hopped in the car and went to Long's Park for a free concert.
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals put on an amazing show! Potter was pitch-perfect.
